Senior Property Accountant

Our client, a construction company, is looking for a Senior Accountant with Real Estate experience! The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the company's accounting practices, procedures and initiatives, prepares journal entries for input into the general ledger for financial reporting purposes and provides detail account analysis, reconciliation and supporting work papers for all general ledger accounts, reporting findings and recommendations. This position is offering a salary of $60-70K BOE.

Prepare monthly financial statements and analysis
Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial and property analysis
Analyze and prepare detailed journal entries for the month end close
Prepare monthly analysis of budget variances
Process property tax payments, assessments and appeals
Perform bank reconciliations
Investment recording and reporting
Work order posting
AR & AP transaction review and posting.
Prepare tenant reconciliations as necessary
Maintain and manage long term debt payments and schedules
Preparation of all audit schedules and maintenance of supporting documentation
Conduct analysis on construction project billing
Assist on projects or duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications to Apply:
BA or BS in Accounting required
At least 5 years or more experience in real estate general ledger accounting
Fluent in Real Estate Management software
Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
