Colliers Engineering & Design is looking for a Lead Field Hydrographer to join its team in New Jersey.
Join our Survey/Geospatial team, which offers a full range of survey and geospatial data and mapping services that enable us to collect data faster, safer, and more accurately than ever before.

Responsibilities:
Conduct marine survey field operations and data processing tasks for hydrographic survey projects on board survey vessels.
Set-up and operate hydrographic survey equipment and survey vessel.
Install and operate real-time kinematic (RTK) positioning equipment and apply post-processing kinematic (PPK) techniques to hydrographic data.
Responsible for installation, calibration, and operation of marine survey tools including high-resolution multi-beam and single-beam systems.
Experience with dredging projectsProcess hydrographic data sets at least to the QA/QC stages.
Follow safety rules and practices.
Perform routine inspection & maintenance, of hydrographic survey equipment.
Perform other marine survey related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
RequiredField Hydrographer - At least 3 years of marine survey experience in the field of hydrographic surveying, involving both single-beam and/or multi-beam bathymetry.
Valid state driver's license.
Must be authorized to work in the U.
S.
50%
travel to projects both within the US and overseas will be required.
Knowledge of GPS and motion reference positioning systems, calibration techniques, and data processing.
Good writing and documentation skills.
Ability to safely operate a small boat or watercraft.
Extremely organized and detail oriented.
Excellent observational and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using hydrographic software including Hypack, Sonarwiz.
Experience with hydrographic equipment.
Experience with GNSS equipment including Trimble RTK-GNSS systems and software.
Ability to create and interpret bathymetric maps.
DesiredACSM Hydrographer is a plus.
Dredging operations survey experience a plus.
Knowledge of AutoCAD or GIS a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Alternating periods of standing on a vessel and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Working in outdoor weather conditions on a vessel.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
